چکیده
Background/Aim: Inflammation is a crucial component in the pathophysiology of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) nephritis. Immune-based scores, such as neutrophil-lymphocyte and platelet-lymphocyte ratios (NLR PLR, respectively) have been suggested predictors inflammation prognosis SLE. This study aimed to investigate value immune-inflammation index (SII), inflammatory prognostic (IPI), response (SIRI) SLE nephritis (LN). Methods: case-control consisted 108 newly diagnosed patients (separated into two subgroups, which included 34 with biopsy-proven LN 74 without nephritis) age- gender-matched healthy controls who presented our outpatient clinic between October 2015 June 2020. Patients malignancy, lymphoproliferative hematologic disorders, active infection, autoimmune diseases other than were excluded. Inflammation-based biomarkers calculated at first presentation disease before any medication was administered. SII Neutrophil/Lymphocyte x Platelet, SIRI Neutrophil Monocyte/Lymphocyte, IPI CRP NLR/serum albumin. The Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index 2000 (SLEDAI-2K) used measure activity. capability SII, SIRI, NLR, distinguish or assessed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves. Correlations inflammation-based scores (SII, IPI, NLR) activity laboratory data analyzed. Results: significantly higher (P=0.003, P=0.019, P<0.001, also those (P<0.001, P=0.009, P=0.007, respectively). area under curve (AUC) for terms differentiating 0.748, 0.690, 0.663, respectively. cut-off predict 552.25 (sensitivity: 64.7%; specificity: 64.9%; P<0.001), 1.08 61.8%; 62.2%; P=0.002), 4.48 specificity, P=0.007), Conclusion: may be valuable promising presence patients. found most reliable predictor among study.

متن کاملSerum alpha–actinin antibody status in systemic lupus erythematosus and its potential in the diagnosis of lupus nephritis
Background: In lupus nephritis (LN), deposition of pathogenic autoantibodies in the glomeruli is mediated via cross-reactivity with alpha-actinin. Association of serum alpha-actinin antibody (AαA) with LN has been shown in a few studies but the results are controversial. Methods: Eighty patients into entered the study. The diagnosis of SLE was confirmed according to the American College of Rheu...

Received for publication 14 August 1981 and in revised form 16 November 1981. membranous GN, membranoproliferative GN types I and II, mesangial GN with IgA or C3 deposition and Henoch Sch6nlein's purpura. Loss of C3b receptor antigen in the diffuse proliferative nephritis of SLE distinguishes it both from nonproliferative lupus nephritis and other immunologically mediated proliferative GN.

Methods Twenty-four patients (16 female) with pSLE nephritis (44 serum samples, 22 in active nephritis) and 21 patients (18 female) with pSLE without nephritis (32 serum samples, 19 in active pSLE) were enrolled in the study. The disease control group included 17 patients with nephritis of other causality (Henoch-Schönlein purpura nephritis, IgA nephropathy, postinfectious glomerulonephritis, m...
متن کاملPrediction of lupus nephritis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus using artificial neural networks.
Artificial neural networks are intelligent systems that have been successfully used for prediction in different medical fields. In this study, efficiency of neural networks for prediction of lupus nephritis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) was compared with a logistic regression model and clinicians' diagnosis. Overall accuracy, sensitivity and specificity of the optimal neur...
